Investors & strategic partners

Entrepreneurial thinking.
Proven in practice.

We bring development, energy markets and financial structuring together to make complex renewable projects investable and deliverable. Tati Solar shows that approach in action.

The company behind the project

Ideas that challenge.
Projects that advance.

Etavi is an entrepreneurial developer of solar, storage and wind. We create commercial routes to market and work through the financing and delivery challenges that stand between a good resource and a viable project.

As developer and co-sponsor of Tati Solar, we have helped bring a regional merchant-power model to financial close. Our current pipeline is in Botswana, for regional benefit, with the ambition to develop projects throughout Southern Africa.

Press and perspectives

The RMB perspective

Commercial finance.
Merchant power.

RMB acted as sole Initial Mandated Lead Arranger.

RMB identifies Tati Solar as the first utility-scale renewable project to obtain pure project financing specifically for electricity sales into SAPP’s day-ahead market on a fully merchant basis.

For Etavi, this is a practical demonstration of what commercial innovation and committed partners can achieve together.

How we work

See the opportunity.
Find a way to deliver.

01 / Development

Understand the opportunity.

Bring demand, resource, land and grid access into one development plan, grounded in local knowledge.

02 / Commercial innovation

Create the route to market.

Develop a workable revenue model, align risk allocation and connect engineering decisions with the way power will be sold.

03 / Capital and delivery

Bring the project to life.

Work with equity partners, lenders and technical teams to turn a sound development plan into a financed project ready for construction.

The next opportunity

Back the thinking.
Build the next project.

We welcome partners who see the opportunity in Southern Africa and are prepared to help shape it.

Talk to us about Etavi’s development strategy, a specific project or a commercial partnership. Our experience brings together local development, energy markets and the structuring needed to attract capital.

Each opportunity is assessed on its resource, grid access, market exposure, construction plan and capital requirements. We bring those questions into the development process from the outset.
