Joe Bester

Joe Bester is Chief Strategy Officer at Etavi Renewables. He brings more than 25 years of experience in investment management, private equity and renewable energy, with responsibility for portfolio strategy, partnerships, capital raising and business development across Southern Africa.

Joe co-founded Talent10 Holdings and held leadership roles supporting the growth of portfolio companies across Southern Africa and Europe. His experience spans the establishment of investment businesses, the assessment of opportunities and the development of companies through successive stages of growth.

Before joining Etavi, he was Managing Director of Peotona Future Energies, where he built a portfolio of solar independent power producer projects. His work covered project origination and financing, oversight of engineering and construction, and performance under power purchase agreements.

Earlier in his career, Joe helped establish Citadel Private Clients as an asset-management business. He brings that investment and financial discipline to renewable energy development, connecting commercial strategy with the practical requirements of delivering projects.
